Anime-Effect Faux Lashes
This is an original concept I developed for The Crème Shop, inspired by the growing popularity of anime and manga style lashes in the beauty industry. Drawing visual influence from Sailor Moon and manga landscape art, the packaging design features a moody and alluring aesthetic that captures both nostalgia and contemporary trend appeal.

Market Research, Conceptualization, and Mockups
Drawing from both Western and Eastern market trends, I focused on Gen-Z and Millennial consumers' affinity for nostalgic yet expressive visuals. This direction aligns with The Crème Shop’s playful, trend-forward identity while offering a fresh, narrative-driven approach to packaging. Based on initial research, I developed four distinct lash styles, each designed to reflect a unique character-inspired look and cater to a range of eye shapes and makeup preferences.

Prototyping and Development
While many anime-style lashes on the market primarily rely on anime-inspired packaging to convey the theme, the lash designs themselves often remain fairly conventional. To authentically capture the essence of the anime and manga aesthetic, each lash band should feature distinct, clustered segments that mimic the stylized, expressive lash patterns commonly seen in illustrated characters.
